I'm So Bored With The USA

KATE GOSSELIN PAYS $7,000 FOR NEW HAIRDO?

"This week Kate Gosselin premiered her new long hairon the cover of People magazine, calling her new style and outlook on life "Kate Clean Slate." But if the fans who copied Kate's old spiky 'do want to follow the reality star's style lead again, they might need to take out a loan: Kate's new extensions reportedly cost a whopping $7,000. Ted Gibson, the stylist who created Kate's new look (and who was taped doing so by TLC), estimated that amount when he discussed the 20 hours he spent on Kate's hair makeover..."

Maybe Mrs. Gosselin can just wait for her hair to grow and put that money to better by say, I don't know, maybe helping out other families that have a lot of kids like hers, but who unlike her may not have the money to do things like feed them. Because she should know how hard it is to take care of so many kids and I would like to see her doing it like she is now, divorced, but instead without a penny to her name or anyone to turn to! The cost of each lunch meal for a child is $3.1825, the cost of each breakfast is $1.8150, and the cost of each supplement is $0.7525. (They call a snack a “supplement”.)  (Source:  USDA Food and Nutrition Service/ Summer Food Service Program/ Reimbursement Rates for 2009). 2199 is the number of hungry children you could have served lunch to..... Damn you Mrs. Gosselin....

Song of the night

Tonight's song of the night is LOST IN THE SUPERMARKET by THE CLASH. Dedicated to it's writer, Joe Strummer, who was really my first major influence and continues to be one of my two biggest influences..... R.I.P. Joe, you sparked my love of music, my one true love in life...
